Households who have indicated Electric Vehicle (EV) ownership has increased this year (15%, vs 10% in 2025). Interest in EVs among people in the market for a car or vehicle has also increased, with 67% saying they would consider an EV in the future, vs 58% in 2025.

South-East Queensland has the highest incidence of EV ownership in the state (16%), and ownership is also higher among 35–54 year olds (22%). Similarly, consideration of an EV is highest among younger cohorts (71% among those under 55).

Most EV owners in the survey continue to be open to having their EV charging managed by a third party (66%).
